Onion contains n-propyl disulfide, which can damage red blood cells leading to anemia in dogs. According to a study, consumption of around 15 - 30 grams / kg can be harmful to dogs. The study further states that ingesting above .5% of an animal's body weight in a single serving can cause onion toxicosis. Even if a higher serving is spread over a few days, dogs would still experience its adverse effects.
So, onions are not good for dogs.
2) Wild Mushrooms
While mushrooms bought for human consumption can be served to dogs, wild mushrooms are toxic and extremely dangerous to dogs.
3) Rhubarb
Oxalic acid in rhubarb can cause severe health complications in dogs leading to coma. Hence, rhubarb should not be given to dogs.
4) Raw Potatoes
Dogs can eat cooked potatoes but raw potatoes are not good for dogs. Solanine in raw potato is harmful to dogs. Never give raw potatoes. If you want to give potatoes to your pet, cook them well and serve. However potatoes with green skin and sprouting potatoes should not be given to dogs.
