I Am Growing and So Does My Responsibility - Part 1
So many things have happened in the recent times. Days are really flying. Family says I am growing and I feel that too. Things that looked pretty tall are not tall anymore.
This was taken about three and a half months back. Those were the times when I could only smell whatever was on top of this.
Does everyone like old pics?
Now, I can have a look and sniff.
This feels good. But mom keeps telling it is not enough if I just grew but also I should grow responsible. Yes mom, you see I just sniff but never mouth anything unless you guys give me, right? Is this not responsible growing?
What I don't like is that I have outgrown Big B's lap. I just used to love lying on his lap. I still do but it is getting difficult.
This pic was taken on Day 1 at My New Home.
Oh, so sweet. All pups look great
I felt so comfortable then. Now, Big B's lap is not enough but I don't give up.
Are you sure your lap will not grow any lengthier Big B?
But, as I have mentioned earlier, Big B lies down with me at times. And I love that very much. I have started imitating him a lot.
Check the pic below; my front leg positioned like Big B's forearm.
You need to cut your nails Big B
When Big B stretches his arm so do I.
Check the pic below; Big B has his head over mine:Oh, come on! How will mom capture my photogenic face on cam?
And then it was my turn...
When I was a really little one, mom never used to let me near the computer. At the most, she will hold me on her lap ensuring I don't get anywhere near the system. Now that I have grown, she feels I am mature enough not to put everything in my mouth or just handle things badly. So, she lets me have a look on the system once in a while.
Mom says it is me. I hope so...
I do look around while I sit there. But I don't mess things up there. I wish I had a night lamp mom because I keep guard...
Sometimes, I really make a mess at home; This is when the family says that I should act responsibly.
I never let them take my bed off for cleaning. So, they always explain things to me and then of course, it becomes a smooth process.
But at times, I have it my way just like it happened on that particular day. Mom wanted to wash the bed and other things I use. But I kept pulling everything and putting them on my bed. She then spread a blanket and put a cushion for me to lie down so she could remove the bed for cleaning. But you want to know what happened? Check the video below:
Yes, he was a beautiful pug called Rex. I was super impressed the moment I saw him entering our home.
Hope you have come to stay
He became friends with my family immediately. My guys kept telling that his eyes were beautiful. For once, I did not try to catch the attention of my people when they were petting him. I was well-behaved and tried to socialize with him. I should say we all had a great time.Is there anything I can get for you?
In fact, it was a double treat because another Big B, a small Big B I mean, from the doctor's family was also with us. I have always loved him a lot right from the first time he visited us. I took an instant liking when he came home the first time and now I was super happy to see him. He sensed it too as he played with me a lot.
There have been changes in my diet including the timings I have my meals. My preferences have changed as well. I used to love porridge but now I am not at all keen to have it. So mom tries to trick me into having porridge by making some changes to it. It works just for a couple of days. I like some foods that mom introduces me to but she always keeps telling I have got to have porridge in the morning. It seems the doctor had insisted on that. Did you really say porridge mom?
You need to wait till the next post to learn about how responsible I have become.
Lessons Learnt
According to a study dogs imitate their owners. Various other studies have been conducted on the influence of owner's characteristics on their dogs and it has been proven that a owner's traits influence the characteristics of their pet. For an example, a shy dog may evolve to become playful and fun-loving if such traits run in the pet's human family. Likewise if a dog is aggressive, the dog is not to be blamed.
Doctor Baktha says that dogs look like their owners so much so that you can easily identify the owner by looking at the dog. It is really interesting and it has also been proven by studies. One of the first studies was conducted by psychologist Michael Roy from University of California. He visited three dog parks and took pictures of pooches and their owners separately. He asked the participants in his study to match the dog and the respective owner. With no additional clues the participants were able to perfectly match dogs and their owners. Of course, you can't expect the dog to have striking resemblance of their owner but the similarity will be identifiable.
Dogs can pretend, yes, truly. How many times have you denied your dog even after seeing those puppy dog eyes? Studies have proved that dogs can manipulate their humans to get what they want. Want to look sorry to get something? Yes, they can. So next time you see those beautiful eyes and the face that has sorry written all over it after having made a mess, you know what is really happening...of course, that cannot stop you from hugging and petting your little one.
While introducing new foods to puppies, do it gradually as you would not want them to get anxious about the change in their food. You can start giving a potion of new food after feeding your pet with their routine food and gradually increase to quantity so the transition to new food is smoother.
Socializing puppies is essential to ensure healthy attitude of the little one. In fact, socialization starts right from the moment you bring your puppy home. However, to let your puppy socialize with other pets and humans, your pet needs to have had injections recommended by doctor. It helps to keep a watch on how your puppy interacts with other puppies and humans.
